Saddam Khan Murad
My artistic journey is deeply rooted in memories of signboard painting and the craft of artists who left lasting impressions on walls during their creative process. Inspired by the layers of my upbringing in the Swat Valley, I pay tribute to its socio-political and historical fabric through my work. The archaeological treasures of the Gandhara civilization within the valley are central to my artistic narrative, blending past, present, and envisioned future.
Using gauze to imprint impressions on canvas, I aim to evoke the sensation of unraveling history, capturing the transformation from ancient origins to modern urban identity.
