‘Ordinary Existence’ features works by Haider Ali Jan. His work is existentialist. Haider’s main source of inspiration is the day-to-day experiences, struggles, and stories of ordinary people.

About Haider:

Haider Ali Jan was born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1983. He received his BFA from Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore in 2008. He has participated in numerous shows, some of which include, the 5th Fukuoka Asian Art Triennial, Asian Art Museum, Japan – Asia Triennial Pacific 8, Queensland Art gallery – New Wight Biennial-UCLA Department of Art – 5th Graphic Art Biennial of Szeklerland, Romania- 5th Moscow International Biennial for Young Art – Love, War and Longings, Harvard-Brown Pakistani Film Festival Cambridge – Experiments in Cinema Festival v14.2, Albuquerque, USA – Sharjah Film Platform, Sharjah – Shared Site International Short Film Festival, Culj-Napoca, Romania.

His work is published in “The Eye Still Seeks” Pakistani contemporary art, written by Salima Hashmi, published by Penguin India.
